what's in a name?

how it all began.

have you ever wanted to do something that wasn't really in your character? well this is that something for me. i have never been the one to put my WHOLE self out there. it's scary. people judge get to know you. but here goes. 

 2011::: was a bit of a life changing year (a whole other post!). a lot of things that many 25 year olds DO NOT ever experience. i did. it was by far the toughest year of my life. very cliche i know. but seriously. 

during that year, God really knew was he was doing. i was blessed beyond belief to have an amazing support system, especially at work. it was during one of those sad days, where i felt like i needed to start blogging  venting. like anything, i got scared. i wasn't ready to share myself with so many people. but lucky for me, one of my close friends at work {jl} mentioned the title of this blog. the stitch. what holds you together? 

and for then, it was a great question.

WHAT HOLDS ME TOGETHER?

while soul searching, i found myself and so much faith during these times. gave me something to believe for answers that i'll never find. faith gave me hope. so for now, my answers are those. faith and hope have been holding me together for a year a half now. 

that conversation was over a year ago. and you ask "well, why now? why start blogging now?".

well i will choose to believe that i ran across this yesterday on {pinterest} yesterday as part of His plan.

so there you have it. between a good friend and pinterest. here i am. blogging. writing. for the whole world to see. from here on, i choose to focus on the good things that keep us going rather than dwelling on the "what ifs" and "whys", but instead be thankful. blessed. trusting Him. and being hopeful.
